WHAT TO WEAR FOR YOUR BOUDOIR PHOTOSHOOT

Your first option is always to look in your closet and see what you already have! Not everything for your shoot has to be fancy lingerie. And having at least one bra and panty set is a must! Be sure to try on all of your pieces before the shoot! That item from ten years ago may be a little too loose on you! ;)

VARIETY IS KEY
Everything from a simple bra and panty sets to intricate strap-y lingerie pieces to body suits. More variety gives you more photos to choose from!

Bra tip: If you are a B or smaller find a bra that has lace around the top of the cup. It will make you look a whole size bigger in photos.

SOMETHING OF HIS/HERS
Bringing something that belongs to your partner is always a must! His button-up, tie, favorite sports jersey or knee-high socks, etc. Your partner will love to see a piece of their lives in your sexy photos!

IN YOUR CLOSET
Your closet is a great place to start. Do you have a lace/ see-through blouse, crop-top with panties, a cute vest or a soft sweater you can pull off your shoulder? Rompers are also very popular lately, and can make a very sexy shot for you boudoir shoot! Also look through your coat closet! There’s just something sexy about a woman in a trench coat, or form-fitting coat, and heels!

THE TWINS
Bustiers can really accentuate your curves. If you are smaller than a C cup, be sure to wear a bustier with built-in push-up cups!

LEGS FOR DAYS
I love brining out the leg-length in every woman! Every Session, the client brings thigh-highs or fishnets. My main tip is to buy a garter belt! There are garters on Amazon that you can purchase for cheap (stay away from plastic straps)!

RED IS THE NEW BLACK
Black lingerie is always a must, but a pop of color can make your photos much better with a variety to choose from! I don’t like shooting bright colors, but muted tones look great in front of the camera.

JEWELERY
Jewelry can really make your photos pop. Bring a few pieces with variety: earrings, rings and a long necklace can really complete a scene!

HEELS, THE HIGHER THE BETTER
Heels are the center-piece of a boudoir photoshoot. The type of heel is always a stiletto, the higher the better! [You won’t be standing in these, so don’t worry about them being too high.] Black heels are a must, nude works well with all outfits and a third or fourth pair that matches your pieces. Stay away from heels with straps, because any strap can cut off the length of your legs that the high heels create.
